Overview[edit | edit source]
The Transmitter is the device that connects to the anchors. There are two large screens, on displaying instructions while the other displays the anchors and a pressable button as well. Upon reaching The Nest the player will have to press the button to activate the doors. Then they will have to report back after each anchor is completed to start the next anchor and to activate the bridge. There is also a large satellite on top with a red light that points to the current anchor.
Function[edit | edit source]
The Transmitter's purpose in room 150 is to detect the anchors set up across Door 150. The button panel in front of it activates the main machine and the main part has a satellite dish on the top to detect the nearby anchors. The screen will display the letter anchors that need to be configured to power the bridge. Depending on the number of players present, the machine will display four or six anchors that need to be configured. The satellite dish will beep red once active. The transmitter beeps once every few seconds, followed by the beep of the corresponding anchor console, giving the player an audio cue to locate the console.
Bugs[edit | edit source]
- Sometimes the Transmitter can freeze, not locating the specific anchor.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The closer the anchor is to the Transmitter, the faster the second beep will play. This allows experienced players to differentiate some anchors easily just by the speed and direction of the beep.
- Although the code is shown on the screen of the Transmitter, it will also appear on the screen of every alive player, in the left bottom corner, with its corresponding anchor letter.
- Sometimes, the Transmitter can point to directions that can make players go into loops, making them usually lost.
- The Transmitter helps the player to escape The Nest, Door 150
- The amount of anchors will differ based on the amount of players that are still alive.
- 1 player = 4 anchors (A-D)
- 2 players = 5 anchors (A-E)
- 3+ players = 6 anchors (A-F)
