The Hotel is the first floor that players will get to explore during gameplay. It is a generic, old-fashioned hotel, haunted by various entities. At the start of each run, players can purchase items at the Pre-Run Shop with Knobs while in the elevator. Players will have to make their way through various randomly generated rooms each separated by numbered doors with a light above them. Their goal is to reach the 100th door in order to reach a mining elevator to escape. </option>
<option>
The Mines is the second floor in DOORS. It can be accessed after successfully escaping The Hotel, either beating The Hotel after the intermission or creating or joining a custom elevator for this floor in the Lobby. The Mines appear as a messy, abandoned, occasionally flooded mining site comprised of different rooms and sections. Like in The Hotel, players will have to make their way through various randomly generated rooms, each separated by numbered doors. </option>
<option>
Entities are referred to as creatures, lurking inside of the currently-present The Hotel. Their main objective is to deter the players from reaching the end of the floor - by various means, be it harming or outright killing them under certain conditions. The current rotation has 34 entities; all with varying mechanics and difficulty. Though two of them might not seem as hostile as the rest... </option>
<option>
Containers, referred to as drawers by many, are interactable objects that tend to have supplementary items, gold, and even a certain entity. However, they may sometimes only hold decorative cosmetics that have no use. Containers can be found in various locations, and there are very few locations that are guaranteed to have an absence of containers. Additionally, containers can come in different appearances and sizes. </option>

LSPLASH is the development group responsible for the creation of DOORS. The group is maintained by the main developer Lightning_Splash and co-developer RediblesQW. They have created various experiences such as Ragdoll Universe and Vocab Havoc before DOORS. Furthermore, purchasing their UGC products or joining the group will grant in-game perks such as Revives, Knobs, and an Achievement! </option>
<option> Error creating thumbnail: File missing The Soundtrack plays a minor role in gameplay but a major role in immersion. Some soundtracks were made for certain scenarios, while some may have even been unused in the final product of DOORS. The current set of soundtracks were composed by Lightning_Splash, and can be listened to from SoundCloud and Spotify. </option>
<option>
Items are various utilities that help you traverse the game. Ranging from oldschool lighters to a bottle of vitamins that significantly boost your speed for a quick-pinch getaway upon consumption, you will not regret spending a minute looking around in those containers to find yourself a small blessing to aid you upon your journey. It also seems like some of those items can't be avoided at all... </option>
<option>
The Crucifix is a single-use item used to avert otherwise minacious circumstances presented by hostile entities. When used with an applicable entity in proximity of the wielder, it will enchain and banish them, granting a temporary period of welfare. However, a few entities are able to resist its grasp and break free from the binding. The crucifix can be found in various locations, but it is most seen as a product of Jeff's Shop. </option>

Ambush is not the only entity capable of rebounding, Rush will rebound when it enters a room with a blocked/locked door, this will catch most players off-guard, make sure to take care when exiting a hiding space around Rush. </option>
<option>
Ambush is a very persistent entity, unlike Rush, if it encounters a room with a blocked/locked door it will phase through the door, nothing can stop the power of Ambush tripping up the player, take care. </option>
<option>
Timothy is the smallest entity within DOORS, due to its size it is smaller than every furniture item within the game, which allows it to hide in containers among Gold and items. </option>
<option>
During the initial release of DOORS the game played an animation for players crawling under furniture during Seek's chase sequences, this was removed due to players with bad latency and terrible internet dying due to the animation failing to load or loading too late. </option>
<option>
Jack can not only appear in the closets scattered across various rooms in The Hotel, it is also known to make an appearance behind recently opened doors. When this occurs, the room will receive a blood-red tone. This effect also applies to the rain if it is present outside. </option>
<option>
Seek was the first entity, being added in-game before the rest. It also had a very different design than what it is now, appearing much more limp and having a different facial structure.</option>
<option>
The Eyes are known to be able to spawn in certain rooms that none of the other entities can. Such rooms can include The Courtyard and The Dining Room. However, that is not to say that entities are physically limited from The Courtyard, as Rush and Ambush can pass through if they happen to be activated in the succeeding area. </option>
<option>
The 'Psst!' sound Screech vocalizes does not indicate its appearance in the room, but rather when it will attack a player. Also, some instances of this sound may be falsified, being played solely to startle the player. Pay attention to the volume, as the fake one is quieter. </option>
<option>
This was one of Figure's earliest models, during the game's early development stages. Yes, the design has changed a lot! Another fact about Figure is that the name 'Figure' was actually the placeholder name for this entity during the game's development. Before release, the developers actually liked the name 'Figure', so they made it official. </option>
<option>
Glitch is a canon entity, meaning it has a role in the lore. During the initial release, it solely appeared to prey on stray wanderers that were too far from their group ahead. However, it currently exists as a failsafe for faulty room generation with the previously mentioned mechanic being given to Void. </option>
<option>
El Goblino is the entity responsible for generating various ambient noises by thumping on walls and doors in The Hotel. It does this in order to scare humans for its own amusement, though it does not mean any harm as seen with its amiable behavior. </option>
<option>
The Rooms is a modified floor that originates from one of the games that inspired DOORS' creation, simply known as Rooms. Its existence in DOORS is an official collaboration with its creator, nicorocks5555. </option>
<option>
Snare is one of the only entities that is capable of harming players, but isn't capable of killing them on its own. The only other entities that does this is Timothy and Sally. </option>
<option>
The DOORS community has made countless fanmade entities, although only two have made a complete appearance in-game. These entities would be Greed, which only appears in the SUPER HARD MODE!! as an entity that attacks players who loot Gold too often, and Depth who is just a reskin of Rush. </option>
<option>
The Crucifix and Skeleton Key were both initially intended to be added in DOORS' initial release, but were scrapped for unknown reasons. They were reimplemented in The Hotel+ Update as rare, but incredibly useful items. </option>
<option>
The Green Herb is the first object in the game to give players a passive effect upon interacting with it, however, players who are lucky enough to obtain the Green Herb and still have the ability to enter The Rooms will sadly lose their passive effect when they enter The Rooms. </option>
<option>
It is heavily implied that Bob isn't alive, and is just a pile of bones. El Goblino has mentioned that Bob got in a fight with Rush after accidentally stepping on Snare, which is implied lead to his death. El Goblino also implies that Bob has recently died of starvation, mentioning that he looks like a "...real bag of bones." </option>
<option>
When The Hotel+ Update released, Void was used to replace Glitch's function to teleport players ahead when they were left behind in an unloading room and Glitch was changed to only be a failsafe but in The Rooms Glitch still carries its old function due to Void being absent. </option>
<option>
Guiding Light is present throughout the majority of DOORS, assisting the player in several different ways, however, in The Rooms the Guiding Light is completely absent and its related items don't function, supposedly feeling "lighter" than usual when held. </option>
<option>
Upon entering The Rooms a special sound effect is heard that sounds like wind blowing. This is a reference to nicorocks' Rooms, in which A-200's despawn sound effect which plays upon joining the game and sounds like a distinct "whooshing" noise. </option>
<option>
A-60 is the first entity in DOORS to make an appearance before officially being implemented into the game, as during one of KreekCraft's streams before the Hotel+ Update released a variant of A-60 was activated as a troll entity to mess with Kreek. </option>
<option>
Sometimes, if a player is temporarily caught in a Snare trap in The Greenhouse, there is a chance that Rush can also be coming through the room at the same time, this ends up becoming a combo kill against the player. These two entities do not work together to achieve this outcome, it is simply a coincidence. Be sure to take extra care the next time you're in The Greenhouse to avoid this deadly combo when it arises. </option>
<option>
Dread was previously secret entity that could be encountered after one hour had passed (at midnight in-game). Secondly, Door 13 had to be opened, whilst Door 14 remained unopened. When these requirements were met Dread would spawn behaving as it does currently. </option>
<option>
The Lookman is similar to Eyes in several ways, as not only does it hurt you when looked at but its name is the previous name of Eyes, along with aspects of its design such as its glowing eyes, resembling Eyes' old design! </option>
<option>
Haste is a direct reference to Specimen 9 from Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion, both having similar appearances and death screens with repeating mantras, Haste's being "NO TIME LEFT" and Specimen 9's being "TO TAKE THE DEAD". </option> <option>
The Shears' original function was cutting vine-covered chests in The Greenhouse, but it felt like another Lockpick, and it was unusual for an item to only be useful in about 10 rooms in the entire floor, so the item was shelved for future use. This idea was reimplemented into The Mines, with vines reappearing throughout the floor.</option>
<option>
Haste was originally planned to be in The Hotel rather than The Backdoor. Originally, if a player stalled in a room for too long, Haste would chase down the player and force them to hide. The developers didn't like this mechanic, so Haste was scrapped and would be re-introduced with a new and better mechanic the following year.</option>
<option>
Eyes has multiple modifiers to its name, but one was scrapped. This modifier was called "Sightseeing", and it simply gave Eyes the ability to teleport, providing more of a challenge. This modifier was scrapped, and Eyes' ability to teleport was added to its Mines upgrade. </option>
<option>
Unlike normal Grumbles, the Queen Grumble has extra buffs. Her movement speed is faster than any other Grumble, making her difficult to outrun. The Spotlight can still blind her, but she can still catch up to players easily. She doesn't laugh, making it harder for players to sense if she is coming. She is slightly paler and larger than the other Grumbles. She appears at the end of the first Seek chase in The Mines, and chases you once the bridge has been powered. </option>
<option>
Gloombats have eggs, stepping on them causes another Gloombat to spawn, if a player dies, Gloombats will lay eggs on their body. </option>
<option>
It's heavily implied there are multiple Screeches. There's multiple dead Screech piles in The Nest. This doesn't mean that nearly the entire Screech species is gone, though, as El Goblino has stated multiple times that he's seen more than one Screech. </option>
<option>
A-60 is the fastest entity in DOORS when A-90 does not show up, even faster than Ambush; when A-90 does show up however, it slows A-60 to around the same speed of Blitz. </option>
<option>
A-60 has received minor sound and visual effect changes throughout several updates. When the Hotel+ update first released, when A-60 spawned, its far sound was a quiet crackling, it didn't cause screen-shake and opened the next door, which may cause another A-60 to spawn on rare occasions. However, when The Mines update rolled out, its spawn sound was made louder and more distorted, it shook the screen a bit, its nearby sound was changed slightly and its ability to open the next door was removed. However, after the Content Update, its spawn sound was reverted to its initial sound, but all the other changes were not reverted.
The sound for when A-60 would spawn during The Hotel+ Update and The Content Update sounds like this:File:RumbleA60.mp3
The sound for when A-60 would spawn when The Mines Update released and Before The Content Update sounded like this: File:DistantA60.mp3
The reason for the sound changes is because, when The Mines Update released, the DOORS developers recoded The Rooms; which made A-60 have several features that Rush uses, as both entities both shake the screen the same amount, use the same pathfinding, and despawn the same way. </option>
<option>
As confirmed by developers, most entities where named by the player, rather then having their own names. Though, this does not include subfloor entities or Jeff Shop trio entities. This may also not include Louie and Sally. </option>
<option>
Players are able to obtain the "In Plain Sight" badge through Rush and Ambush. However, they aren't able to obtain it through Blitz, A-60 and A-120. This is likely an oversight by the developers. </option>
<option>
Sometimes, A-120 will rebound, so make sure to listen carefully and hide whenever this happens! </option>
<option>
In SUPER HARD MODE!!!, players needed to collect 15 books in The Library. This caused Figure to move much faster than usual. Figure could also have been killed by a Holy Hand Grenade, which would produce this sound:
File:FigDeath in-game fixed.mp3(Warning: LOUD)
