It appears when hiding in any hiding spot from Figure. In the minigame, you need to control your breathing.
Walkthrough[edit | edit source]
Players need to input Controls depending on their device. As soon as a half of the heart flies into the heart, players need to input the correct control depending on the side of the half.
If a player makes a mistake, or misses a beat twice, Hide will kick the player out of the hiding spot, attracting Figure and being vulnerable.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- As of The Content Update, the Heartbeat Control Minigame is present as long as Hide is active and Figure is near the player's hiding spot.
- As Hide is disabled in The Electrical Room, the Heartbeat Control Minigame is missing, making players able to hide forever in this room.
- Because of this, if Hide is temporarily disabled because of the Crucifix, the Heartbeat Control Minigame also won't appear.
- The Heartbeat Control Minigame speeds up as Hide is closer from kicking the player out of the closet.
- Because of this, the Rent's Due modifier significantly speeds up the Heartbeat Control Minigame from the very start of it.
- Hide's normal form (that kicks players after certain time hidden) is still present during the Heartbeat Control Minigame, however, the time limit is longer than the limit when there is no minigame.
- This makes hiding during a Figure encounter extremely lethal with the Rent's Due modifier, as the player will be kicked out of the hiding spot before Figure starts moving away, even if they play the minigame perfectly.
- The Heartbeat Control Minigame will only end successfully if Figure stops checking the hiding spot and gets far enough from it.
- If Figure is spawned inside a small room (via Admin Panel or Chat Control) or is lured near the player's hiding spot constantly, it is possible the minigame will never end (until the player is kicked out by Hide's normal form or they miss a beat).
- Players can leave the hiding spot while doing the Heartbeat Control Minigame, however, this will normally kill them, as Figure will be too close when exiting, although not always.
- Before The Mines Update, the Heartbeat Control Minigame wasn't infinite, stopping after some time even if Figure was still near the hiding spot.
- Before The Mines Update, Hide's normal form (that kicks players if they are hidden for too long), wasn't present in Door 50 and Door 100, the only places where Figure could spawn in the whole game.
- It could still appear during the Heartbeat Control Minigame if Door 51 was opened during it.
- In The Mines Update, the Heartbeat Control Minigame was added to Hide even if Figure wasn't present, but was removed shortly after because it was unintuitive, and it didn't make sense because Figure was related to hearing, whilst the Heartbeat Minigame outside of the Figure rooms provoked confusion.
- In the period from September 1, 2024 to December 20, 2024 patch, there was no Heartbeat Control Minigame at all, although Figure still checked the closet.
- During this period, there was a bug where players could exit a hiding spot safely while Figure was inspecting it and wouldn't die.
- In the period from September 1, 2024 to December 20, 2024 patch, there was no Heartbeat Control Minigame at all, although Figure still checked the closet.
- In The Mines Update, the Heartbeat Control Minigame became multicolored, apparently for those who couldn’t understand well.
