The '''Glitch Fragment''' is an [[Items|item]] that can be found on any [[Floors|Floor]] (excluding [[2023 April Fools Event|SUPER HARD MODE!!!]], HOTEL-, and [[2025 April Fools Event|PARTY MODE]]). The ''Glitch Fragment''<nowiki>'s</nowiki> spawn rate is very low, but it increases if the player is jumpscared by [[Glitch]]. |

''AR0xMBUSH'' can be dealt with in the same way normal [[Ambush]] can by jumping in and out of the closet every time it passes in [[The Hotel]]. Be careful of [[Hide]] in [[The Mines]] as you need to switch lockers every time ''AR0xMBUSH'' passes, instead of jumping in and out of the same one. However, if you get ''AR0xMBUSH'' to spawn in [[The Backdoor]] or in [[The Rooms]], you will not need to worry about [[Hide]] at all, and you can just stay in the locker until the encounter ends. You could use the Afterimage [[Modifiers|modifier]] to practice as ''AR0xMBUSH'' moves around the same speed as Ambush with that modifier. |

If a player interacts with a Glitch Fragment, the ''SCJVEREECH'' will have a 1 in 3 chance to spawn. If they spawn, they will spawn in a group of around 20. Similarly to the normal [[Screech]], you will need to look at them to survive. If they are left looking at you for a few seconds, they will start glowing purple as a warning they are about to attack. If you take too long to look at one of them, you will be bitten and dealt damage. |

Unlike normal [[Screech]], hiding in a closet will not despawn the ''SCJVEREECH'', and you are required to look at all of them to get rid of them. However, if you are in a closet, although the entities won't despawn, they will not deal damage to you while in the closet either. This means you can keep entering closets to stay safe until you either look at all of the ''Glitch Screeches'' or they all bite you and go away. |

However, if you are in a closet, although the entities won't despawn, they will not deal damage to you while in the closet either. This means you can keep entering closets to stay safe until you either look at all of the ''Glitch Screeches'' or they all bite you and go away. If there is no hiding spot, then look at those Glitched Screeches that have glowing purple eyes first as it is a sign that they are about to attack. |

""I.. I think I'm seeing things." "
- Trial And Error Achievement description
The Glitch Fragment is an item that can be found on any Floor (excluding SUPER HARD MODE!!!, HOTEL-, and PARTY MODE). The Glitch Fragment's spawn rate is very low, but it increases if the player is jumpscared by Glitch.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
The Glitch Fragment is a fusion of a few black cubes and a purple-pink glow surrounding it, which moves around in a blocky way. It has random pixelated glitchy particles, and an aura surrounding it. It primarily has the colors yellow, black, purple, white, blue, pink, red, and green.
Usage[edit | edit source]
Upon use, it summons Glitch to jumpscare the player, afterwards it will black out the player's screen and show some glitchy imagery and dialogue for a few frames joined by glitchy noises. After the glitching subsides, summons one of three types of hallucinations in the form of "Glitched" entities to attack the player. Surviving one of these encounters will give the player the Trial and Error Achievement along with 402 Gold and a random positive effect. These positive effects can be as follows:
- Duplicates all of their current items and drops the duplicates on the floor.
- Recharges all of their current items to 100%.
- Grants a permanent +4 movement speed boost.
- Increases the player's maximum health by 77 HP and heals them by 77 HP. (although really unnoticeable until damage is taken)
- Grants them God Mode for 20 seconds.
Notes[edit | edit source]
- The Glitch Fragment is not able to be held in the players inventory, instead disappearing upon interaction, similar to a bandage or batteries, all of which are resources.
- The Glitch Fragment can spawn in any drawer or container in any floor, replacing a regular item or resource.
- Encountering the entity Glitch increases the chances of a Glitch Fragment spawning.
- Encountering Glitch five times will guarantee a Glitch Fragment spawn, as encountering Glitch increases the spawn chance drastically.
- The Glitch encounters must be considered "natural", so using the Admin Panel to spawn glitch does not count as a "natural" encounter, nor does the encounter forced by picking up a Glitch Fragment.
- While directly summoning Glitch with the Admin Panel is artificial, the player can simply noclip into the void to force a "natural" encounter.
- It is recommended for players to locate nearby potential hiding spots before usage, as all entities summoned can be countered using one.
- The player may take advantage of subfloors such as The Rooms and The Backdoor, as they lack Hide, allowing them to hide throughout the entire encounter. This also applies to Retro Mode
- It is recommended to use The Rooms to acquire the item, as Void is replaced by Glitch, letting the player manually summon Glitch to increase their chances.
- If the player wishes to encounter it in The Hotel or The Mines, they may use a glitch with Void when they enter or exit a hiding spot while they're being attacked. Since the closet animation changes the player's position, Void's teleport fails and they fall out of the map, which causes Glitch to appear to teleport them.

Pros and Cons Pros and Cons
Pros[edit | edit source]
- Allows the player to get the "Error" and "Trial and Error" achievement, with the latter being hidden from the achievements menu if unobtained.
- Always rewards the player with specifically 402 Gold.
- Can give the player various powerups after surviving an encounter.
- These include: more speed, temporary god mode effect, more health, and filling up/duplicating all items.
- Can spawn in every Floor and Sub-floor (including floors like Retro Mode, but excluding floors like SUPER HARD MODE!!!).
- Modifiers do not disable the spawning of the item (except "Out Of Stuff").
Cons[edit | edit source]
- Requires the player to encounter Glitch several times to be a common occurrence, which is a monotonous task.
- Extremely rare to appear in normal player progression.
- Summons entities which could hinder the player's progress.
- It is very easy to misclick and accidentally pick it up while looting containers, leading to a premature entity spawn.
- It may be difficult to communicate during multiplayer after picking it up, as it spawns enemies only for the person who picked it up.
- This may cause issues such as teammates running through rooms while other players are stuck dealing with glitched entities.
- Can leave players susceptible to Haste if activated in The Backdoor.
- Wastes time to escape the DRAKOBLOXXERS in RETRO MODE.
Bugs[edit | edit source]
- When the Glitch Fragment spawns in the The Reception and is interacted with, if RNIUSHCg== or AR0xMBUSH spawns they will be stuck on the first door.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The Glitch Fragment is the rarest item in the game, being the lowest chance to spawn out of any item.[citation needed]
- Glitch Fragments can spawn in any room with containers or tables.
- Each "glitched" entity's name is the name of their non-glitched counterparts, but with letters of a Base64 code injected into them.
- Assembled correctly, the code is "R0xJVENICg==", and it translates into "GLITCH".
- Base 64 translations:
- Red, Green & Blue: CACHE REFRESH
- GlitchTrialScreen: 404: NOT FOUND
- Console: I AM HERE
- Glitched entities are client-sided, meaning only the person who picked up the Glitch Fragment can see them.
- In The Mines, however, earthquakes caused by RNIUSHCg== or AR0xMBUSH can be seen by everyone.
- When the player survives the entity spawned by the Glitch Fragment, they will recieve 402 Gold. This is a reference to a 402 Error, also known as the Payment Required error.
- The Gold that is given to the player by the Glitch Fragment does not count towards Knobs.
- Each player has an attribute called Glitch Level, related to Glitch and Glitch Fragments.[1]
- This number is set to 0 at the start for every player.
- Every time a player encounters Glitch naturally, their counter will go up by 1.
- The chance of the Glitch Fragment spawning increases exponentially as the Glitch Level does.
- When the Glitch Level reaches 5, the spawn chance is guaranteed.
- As the attribute is in each player, the Glitch Fragment corresponding to each player will only spawn if the container is opened by that player (unless it spawns in a place that doesn't require interaction, like tables).
- Once the Glitch Fragment that corresponds to that player spawns, that player's value will reset back to 0 again.
- The Admin Panel can't delete glitch entities.
- Multiple Glitch Fragments can spawn in the same room, but only one can spawn per container.
- Sally can't interact with Glitch Fragments.[2]
- Before the patch that made it easier to get the item, the Glitch Fragment chances were 1/10,000 (0.01%) as "confirmed" by a supposed QA tester[citation needed], this may or may not be true, because QA testers don't have access to the code and legally cannot leak anything from the game.
- In the console, when the player activates a Glitch Fragment, a message in the developer console will be printed, stating "SSBBTSBIRVJF" which decoded says "I AM HERE", and when the entity despawns it prints out "Destroyed hallucination" (as a Roblox warning) which may be implying the Player is hallucinating and that's why other players can't see the glitched entities.[3]
- After dying multiple times to glitched entities, Guiding (and Curious) Light will come to the conclusion that something is causing us to see things and that seems to have induced a heart attack.
- The survival green screen that gives the player gold and the positive effect actually doesn't detect when the entity despawns. It always appears 20 seconds after the entity is spawned.
- Upon activation, if a RNIUSHCg== or a AR0xMBUSH spawns in, a message will be printed on the developer console that states "Hello friend...".
- When hovering over a Glitch Fragment, the interaction indicator has a different appearance, with the hand being cyan and the button being a pink non-rounded square. This unique alteration of the indicator resembles the one used in Retro Mode, albeit with an outline.
- Glitch Fragments are found in every floor (Aside from SUPER HARD MODE!!! due to it not being updated since the Modifiers update and Hotel- Modifier that it uses much older version/build of the game)
- The Glitch Fragment might be inspired by the scrapped Glitched Bandage.
- Before the patch that made it easier to get the item, picking up Glitch Fragment didn't summon Glitch teleport effect itself.
- None of the Glitch Fragment entities have crucifix animations. This is most likely due to them being “unintentional”, the same reason they don’t have jumpscares. Instead, RNIUSHCg== floats into the air, AR0xMBUSH simply disappears, and SCJVEREECH completely ignores the crucifix.
