The Infirmary, also known as The Hospital, is a large room in the Hotel, appearing one or more rooms before Room 70.

The Infirmary is an abandoned hospital and a spacious area with the appearance of a medical treatment room. There are multiple beds and drawers along each side, with luggage scattered around. The Infirmary consists of two connected large areas. One thing to note is that there are various chests scattered throughout The Infirmary which can contain a lot of items and can act as an area where the player can restock/loot. The most common item in these chests are vitamins.
However, the area left of the player has a door next to a bed that leads to a large secret narrow hallway with many more doors. These doors often contain chests that contain useful items. One of these doors looks different and is marked with a skeleton symbol. This room can be accessed by using a skeleton key. This room is known as the Skeleton Room or the Herb Room. Inside the room are drawers containing large amounts of coins, as well as the Green Herb (Herb of Viridis) resting on a table. When interacting with the Herb of Viridis (Green Herb), if the player has taken damage, the herb's power will heal the damage taken, this power will also be taken to The Rooms as you could take damage by A-90. Above the door to the next room rests a white medical cross symbol.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- This is one of two rooms with a door that can be unlocked by a Skeleton Key, the other being the entrance to The Rooms.
- The Infirmary is often called a rest zone, as not many lethal entities spawn here.
- The Infirmary's bedding is different from the beds that spawn in the other rooms of the Hotel, making this room unique.
- The Infirmary has a chance of spawning a few doors after Jeff Shop, The Basement or after the door The Rooms' entrance spawns in.
- The Infirmary will never spawn before the room that contains the entrance to The Rooms.
- The Infirmary was revamped after The Mines Update.
- Now, The Infirmary is almost guaranteed to contain vitamins in the many chests it has. This is likely because a hospital is a place where vitamins normally appear in.
- Unlike most other randomized rooms, The Infirmary is guaranteed to spawn in a run only once.
- After players have exited or completed The Rooms and continued the run, the game continues them off in one room behind The Infirmary even if their last location was somewhere else.
- The room right before The Infirmary is always a short and straight room with windows in both sides.
- This room was teased before its release in a poster by Lightning_Splash.
- In the SUPER HARD MODE!!!, the floor of the Skeleton Room is completely filled with both types of Shield potions.
Removed Content[edit | edit source]
- With the modifiers "Locked And Loaded" and "Key Key Key Key" the Infirmary could be locked, but this was removed some days after the Modifiers Update, because the key could spawn inside the Skeleton Door, softlocking the player to make them either leave or restart their game.
- With the “You Really Can Run” modifier, The Infirmary used to have a rare chance to spawn between doors 77-81 due to the second Seek chase started earlier.
- After The Hunt update, all infirmary beds can no longer be hidden under, likely due to it only containing Rush and Ambush from previous rooms.
- However, when using the SUPER HARD MODE!!! modifier, infirmary beds can still be hidden under because it's an older version of the game.
