The Hotel is the first floor, accessed by riding an elevator down from the [[Lobby]], and contains the first 100 Rooms. They can range from offices, to long, dark corridors, and even wine cellars. It takes the appearance of a run-of-the-mill hotel. Multiple drawers and spaces could contain items for progressing through the Hotel, such as [[gold]], light sources ([[Lighter]] and [[Flashlight]]), tools for opening locks ([[Room Key]] and [[Lockpick]]), and much more.

Floors are areas that players progress the story in, serving as the 'chapters' for the game. These floors may contain different items and entities from the previous floor, along with brand-new locations. There are currently two released floors and two released subfloors, with at least two floors[1][2] and one subfloor upcoming.[3] There are also 2 hotel-like joke floors both respectively created as April Fools events in 2023 and 2024.

Trivia Trivia

  • Currently, the longest DOORS run consists of 1,250 (technically 1,244) doors if the player goes from The Backdoor all the way through The Hotel, The Rooms, and then The Mines. There is 1,254 (technically 1,248) rooms in all in this run.
  • Guiding Light is the death messenger to the player in main floors, while Curious Light is the death messenger to the player in subfloors.
