Valves are a Feature found within The Dam. It serves as the final puzzle piece needed to be used by the player to flush Seek out of The Dam and to escape The Mines.

Overview

Valves are found within all 3 levels of the final Dam Seek boss in the mines, each valve is hidden in the flood.

After turning all the valves in The Dam. Seek will go Down The Drain giving access to a Generator for The Woods. Before escaping The Mines after beating Seek, the player can get the "Down The Drain" achievement.

Usage

Valves are found in all three levels of The Dam. Once the player twists one of them, a bar will show up, if they twist enough valves, Seek will drain more and gets new abilities in different phases, the first phase requires them to twist two, the second requires the player to twist 4 and the third phase requires them to twist 5 valves.

Strategies

• In the second and third floors, move up and down floors in order to find ladders so you can avoid platforming and easily reach the valves. This is especially useful considering the difficulty of some parts of the layout coupled with the altered physics.
• Do not try to rush your way towards the valves, doing so might get you caught in Seek's goop.
• Look around for Guiding Light highlighting the valves.
• Speedboosts are recommended to evade the attacks. However be careful as you may fall easily into the slime.
• Jump over boulders to reach some Valves easily and avoid the risk of going through Seek.
• It is recommended to make out your path before you go. Doing so will help you get to Valves safely.

Notes

• A hotbar will show up whenever the player twists a valve.
• No valves will need to be activated above Seek's level.
• Valves always have the same spawn locations in every run.
• Valves can't be interacted with before the slight speed boost is given to the player.

Bugs

• If you get voided during a giggle attack, you will not be able to interact with anything, including Valves.
• Sometimes when playing with low graphics, Guiding Light may not highlight the Valves.
• If your teammate twists the last Valve while you are on the debris, you will get stuck under and eventually die of drowning. This is most likely a bug.
