Fun Facts
<option>
Rush

Ambush is not the only entity capable of rebounding, Rush will rebound when it enters a room with a blocked/locked door, this will catch most players off-guard, make sure to take care when exiting a hiding space around Rush.</option>

<option>
Ambush

Ambush is a very persistent entity, unlike Rush, if it encounters a room with a blocked/locked door it will phase through the door, nothing can stop the power of Ambush tripping up players, take care.</option>

<option>

Timothy is the smallest entity within DOORS, due to its size it is smaller than every furniture item within the game, which allows it to hide in containers among gold and items.</option>

<option>
DOORS

During the initial release of DOORS the game played an animation for players crawling under furniture during Seek's sequences, this was removed due to players with bad latency and terrible internet dying due to the animation failing to load or loading too late.</option>

<option>
Jack1.png

Jack can not only appear in the closets scattered across various rooms in the Hotel, it is also known to make an appearance behind recently opened doors. When this occurs, the room will receive a blood-red tone. This effect also applies to the rain if it is present outside.</option>

<option>
Old Seek.png

Seek was the first entity, being added in-game before the rest. It also had a very different design than what it is now, appearing much more limp and having a different facial structure.</option>

<option>
Eyes.png

The Eyes are known to be able to spawn in certain rooms that none of the other entities can. Such rooms can include The Courtyard and The Dining Room. However, that is not to say that entities are physically limited from The Courtyard, as Rush and Ambush can pass through if they happen to be activated in the succeeding area.</option>

<option>

The 'Psst!' sound Screech vocalizes does not indicate its appearance in the room, but rather when it will attack a player. Also, some instances of this sound may be falsified, meaning that it is played solely to startle players. Pay attention to the volume, as the fake one is quieter.</option>

<option>
Scrapped Figure Model.png

This was one of Figure's earliest models, during the game's early development stages. Yes, the design has changed a lot! Another fact about Figure is that the name 'Figure' was actually the placeholder name for this entity during the game's development. Before release, the developers actually liked the name 'Figure', so they made it official. </option>

<option>
Sally2.png

Entities such as Window and Shadow in DOORS don't have official names due to the developers refraining from confirming them. Although, their file names are confirmed to be 'Sally' (Window) and 'creepy_dude' (Shadow). Window and Shadow also won't receive their own in-game achievements due to both entities being extremely rare to encounter in-game. </option>

<option>
GLITCH11.png

Glitch is a non-canon entity, meaning it has no role in the lore of DOORS. During the initial release, it solely appeared to prey on stray wanderers that were too far from their group ahead. However, it currently exists as a failsafe for faulty room generation with the previously mentioned mechanic being given to Void.</option>

<option>
El Goblino.png

El Goblino is the entity responsible for generating various ambient noises by thumping on the walls and doors of the Hotel. It does this in order to scare humans for its own amusement, though it does not mean any harm as seen with its amiable behavior.</option>

<option>

The Rooms is a modified floor that originates from one of the games that inspired DOORS' creation, simply known as Rooms. Its existence in DOORS is an official collaboration with its creator, nicorocks5555.</option>

<option>

Snare is one of the only entities that is capable of harming players, but isn't capable of killing them on its own. The only other entity that does this is Timothy.</option>

<option>
Greed Clickbait.png

The DOORS community has made countless fanmade entities, although only one has made a complete appearance in-game. This entity would be Greed, which only appears in the game's 2023 April Fools Event as an entity that attacks players who loot coins too often.</option>

<option>
Crucifix & Skeleton Key Icons.png

The Crucifix and Skeleton Key were both initially intended to be added in DOORS' initial release, but were scrapped for unknown reasons. They were reimplemented in the Hotel+ update as rare, but incredibly useful items.</option>

<option>
Herb Of Viridis.png

The Green Herb is the first object in the game to give players a passive effect upon interacting with it, however, players who are lucky enough to obtain the Green Herb and still have the ability to enter The Rooms will sadly lose their passive effect when they enter The Rooms.</option>

<option>
Bob Icon.png

It is heavily implied that Bob isn't truly alive, and is actually just a pile of bones. El Goblino has mentioned that Bob got in a fight with Rush after accidentally stepping on Snare, which is implied lead to his death. El Goblino also implies that Bob has recently died of starvation, mentioning that he looks like a "...real bag of bones."</option>

<option>

When the Hotel+ update released, Void was used to replace Glitch's function to teleport players ahead when they were left behind in an unloading room and Glitch was changed to only be a failsafe but in The Rooms Glitch still carries its old function due to Void being absent.</option>

<option>
Guiding Light Icon Centered.png

The Guiding Light is present throughout the majority of DOORS, assisting the player in several different ways, however, in The Rooms the Guiding Light is completely absent and its related Items don't function, supposedly feeling "lighter" than usual when held.</option>

<option>
A-000 crop.png

Upon entering The Rooms a special sound effect is heard that sounds like wind blowing. This is a reference to nicorocks' Rooms, in which A-200's despawn sound effect which plays upon joining the game and sounds like a distinct "whooshing" noise.</option>

<option>
A-60 DOORS.png

A-60 is the first entity in DOORS to make an appearance before officially being implemented into the game, as during one of KreekCraft's streams before Hotel+ released a variant of A-60 was activated as a troll entity to mess with Kreek.</option>

<option>

Not all entities work alone to kill the player, for example, sometimes when a player is trapped by Snare it will activate Rush to attempt to finish off whoever was unlucky enough to be caught in Snare's trap. Be sure to take extra care in The Greenhouse to evade this deadly combo.</option>

<option>
Dreadd.webp

Dread was previously secret entity that could be encountered after one hour had passed (at midnight in-game). Secondly, Door 13 had to be opened, whilst Door 14 must remain unopened. When these requirements were met Dread would spawn, behaving as it does currently.</option>

<option>

The Lookman is similar to Eyes in several ways, as not only does it hurt you when looked at but its name is the previous name of Eyes, along with aspects of its design such as its glowing eyes, resembling Eyes' old design!</option>

<option>
Haste1.png

Haste is a direct reference to Specimen 9 from Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion, both having similar appearances and death screens with repeating mantras, Haste's being "NO TIME LEFT" and Specimen 9's being "TO TAKE THE DEAD".</option>

<option>

The Shears' original function was cutting vine-covered chests in The Greenhouse, but it felt like another Lockpick, and it was unusual for an item to only be useful in about 10 rooms in the entire floor, so the item was shelved for future use. The Shears are now planned to appear in The Mines.</option>

<option>
HasteOld.png
Haste was originally planned to be in The Hotel rather than The Backdoor. Originally, if a player stalled in a room for too long, Haste would chase down players and force them to hide. The developers didn't like this mechanic, so Haste was scrapped and would be re-introduced with a new and better mechanic the following year.</option> <option>
Eyes.png
Eyes has multiple Modifiers to its name, but one was scrapped. This modifier was called "Sightseeing", and it simply gave Eyes the ability to teleport, providing more of a challenge. This modifier was scrapped, and Eyes' ability to teleport was added to its Mines upgrade.</option>
