Reason: Page does not follow the Manual of Style.

The 2023 April Fools Event, also known as the "Super Hard Mode Update", is an update that was released on April 1st, 2023, and is a "joke" event, in response to April Fools. The most notable new feature is the "SUPER HARD MODE" gamemode, and as its title suggests, it is an increased difficulty of the normal game.

The Holy Hand Grenade is only present in the "SUPER HARD MODE" gamemode.

Usage Usage

Once The Holy Hand Grenade is thrown, it will bounce into the ground and make a "Hallelujah" sound effect. After which, it will explode, emitting a flash of white light; any entities in the range of the Grenade will be killed by it, and play the Roblox death sound upon their passing. You will also take a lot of damage if you are too close.

Trivia Trivia

  • The item is a reference to the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch from "Monty Python of the Holy Grail". It may also be a reference to other various pieces of media where the holy hand grenade has been used, such as Worms or Terraria.

It also appears in the game's icon during this update. Jeff The Killer is only present in the "SUPER HARD MODE" gamemode.

Behavior Behavior

Jeff The Killer has a chance to appear in a room, and will set itself to kill each living player.

Trivia Trivia

  • Jeff the Killer can slip on Banana Peels as well and it can stun him.
  • Throwing a Holy Hand Grenade in the proximity of Jeff the Killer will cause him to explode. After that, a sound will play that says something about “my head is broken”
  • Jeff will not die to Rush

It is a replacement for Dupe during the update, and has much of the same behavior. Subspace Tripmine is only present in the "SUPER HARD MODE" gamemode.

Overview Appearance

When opening a duplicate door, Subspace Tripmine appears as a glowing pink "void" with some sparkles hovering near a pink, somewhat "spiky", cube-like icon.

After the duplicate door is closed, the door's plaque will remain intact, and the door will glow a neon pink to signalize it as the fake door.

Behavior Behavior

Subspace Tripmine behaves much like Dupe would. Subspace Tripmine has a chance to spawn in a room with multiple doorways. One of the doors that spawns are real, and the rest are fake (between one and two fake doors). If a player decides to enter a fake door, than Subspace Tripmine, who resides behind these fake doors, will proceed to instantly kill the player. Subspace Tripmine cannot be Crucified.

Trivia Trivia

GREED was first seen in one of the paintings, called "Greediness"

Update Notes

  • The Figure sports a "noob" outfit in the Library, and a "John Doe" outfit in the Electrical Room.
  • The Infirmary is slightly darker and contains many mini and big shield potions in the skeleton key room.
  • The Eyes and dark rooms appear more often.
  • Dupe has been replaced with Subspace Tripmine.
  • Ambush rebounds more times than usual, and has a higher chance of appearing.
  • Rush now has a chance of having a custom decal, and has a chance of playing the Trololo song.
  • Seek is driving a car and the chase is slightly longer.
  • Jack now wears glasses and feels surprised, paying a homage to the internet meme, "Wojak" (more specifically, the "Soyjak" variant of the meme), the original source image of Jack.
  • Screech makes a different sound from usual, that being the "Why are you running?" meme scream, but sped up.
  • Banana peels are everywhere, tripping the player and dealing 5 damage.
  • In the reception, instead of the door 1 key, a door 2 key, or the evil key, replaces it, and it will jumpscare players within interaction.
  • The Guiding Light does not light up any doors or items. This also applies to the Seek chase, making it more difficult to identify the correct door.
  • The Guiding Light has new messages for each entity, all of which do not help the player at all, and it does not spawn in dark rooms. However, it will shine books in the library if the players didn't pick them up for too long.
  • The Library code now has 10 digits and has a few new shapes. The Solution Paper has 11 digits, one of them the player does not need and the rest scrambled.
  • Hide appears significantly quicker.
  • The Scanner is now available in the shop, costing 1,000 knobs. Trying to purchase it will only result in a sign popping up saying "OUT OF STOCK APRIL FOOLS!", though. The text will frequently change every time you press it.
  • Some rooms in The Greenhouse don't have closets.
  • The Shakelight and Scanner are now available in the Jeff's shop too, costing Gold250 and Gold1,000 respectively.
  • Two of the squad queues in the lobby have been replaced by queues to join the Super Hard Mode gamemode.
  • A new badge named Survival The Jeff The Killer was released on April 1.
  • Trying to enter The Rooms in Super Hard Mode instead takes you to another Roblox game, Survive and Kill the Killers in Area 51!!! .
  • Dying in Super Hard Mode does not increase your death count.
  • Door 100 doesn't have the Rift.
  • Door 100's minigame has its numbers cycle significantly faster. Furthermore, the "?" from the minigame, instead of only appearing at the 3rd part, now appears in every part.

Trivia Trivia

  • There is a chance that the game will never finish loading.
    • This is likely due to the mass amount of players joining the servers at once, making this a Roblox issue.
  • There is a chance that Jeff the Killer spawns before any Holy Hand Grenades spawn, making it impossible to avoid him.
  • The Holy Hand Grenade is very useful against Jeff the Killer.
  • The Model that Seek is driving is an old model named ’’Jeep’’ Which was created by Roblox.
  • Depth and Greed were concept entities for Floor 2, and they have different attack moves then the one's in the April Fool's update.
    • Depth attacks were a lot like Ambush, only it will stop rebounding once the players backtrack 10 rooms. Greed will disguise itself as an item and attack anyone who touches it. Depth is a skin of Rush here, and Greed as a similar but not identical attack move listed above.
  • This is the first ever mode officially added in DOORS.
  • This is the first time fan entities have been introduced as actual entities.
    • This is ironic, this is due to RediblesQW saying that fan entities were not going to be added into the game.
  • This update is the first time entity variations have been officially added into the game.
  • The Matcher variation of Rush is a reference to the same entity in the fangame Endless Doors.
  • This update is the first time a new item appears in the pre-run shop since DOORS's release, which is the NVCS-3000/The Scanner selling for 1,000 Knobs, but is just for a prank.
  • The small and big shield potions reference [[1]]'s iconic items, and even function the exact same way.
  • The jumpscare that occurs when interacting with The Evil Key is the possessed Regan MacNeil face from the 1973 supernatural thriller "The Exorcist". This face had been used in many old school screamers such as "The Scary Maze Game"
