FEATURED ARTICLES

Hotel

The Hotel is the first floor that players will get to explore during gameplay. It is a generic, old-fashioned hotel, haunted by various entities.

At the start of each run, players can purchase items at the Pre-Run Shop with Knobs while in the elevator.

Players will have to make their way through various randomly generated rooms each separated by numbered doors with a light above them. Their goal is to reach the 100th door in order to reach a mining elevator to escape.

The Mines is the second floor in DOORS. It can be accessed after successfully escaping The Hotel, either beating The Hotel after the intermission or creating or joining a custom elevator for this floor in the Lobby.

The Mines appear as a messy, abandoned, occasionally flooded mining site comprised of different rooms and sections.

Like in The Hotel, players will have to make their way through various randomly generated rooms, each separated by numbered doors.

Entities

Entities are referred to as creatures, lurking inside of the currently-present The Hotel. Their main objective is to deter the players from reaching the end of the floor - by various means, be it harming or outright killing them under certain conditions.

The current rotation has 34 entities; all with varying mechanics and difficulty. Though two of them might not seem as hostile as the rest...

Containers, referred to as drawers by many, are interactable objects that tend to have supplementary items, gold, and even a certain entity. However, they may sometimes only hold decorative cosmetics that have no use.

Containers can be found in various locations, and there are very few locations that are guaranteed to have an absence of containers. Additionally, containers can come in different appearances and sizes.

LSPLASH is the development group responsible for the creation of DOORS. The group is maintained by the main developer Lightning_Splash and co-developer RediblesQW. They have created various experiences such as Ragdoll Universe and Vocab Havoc before DOORS. Furthermore, purchasing their UGC products or joining the group will grant in-game perks such as Revives, Knobs, and an Achievement!

The Soundtrack plays a minor role in gameplay but a major role in immersion. Some soundtracks were made for certain scenarios, while some may have even been unused in the final product of DOORS.

The current set of soundtracks were composed by Lightning_Splash, and can be listened to from SoundCloud and Spotify.

Items

Items are various utilities that help you traverse the game. Ranging from oldschool lighters to a bottle of vitamins that significantly boost your speed for a quick-pinch getaway upon consumption, you will not regret spending a minute looking around in those containers to find yourself a small blessing to aid you upon your journey.

It also seems like some of those items can't be avoided at all...

The Crucifix is a single-use item used to avert otherwise minacious circumstances presented by hostile entities. When used with an applicable entity in proximity of the wielder, it will enchain and banish them, granting a temporary period of welfare. However, a few entities are able to resist its grasp and break free from the binding. The crucifix can be found in various locations, but it is most seen as a product of Jeff's Shop.
