Appearance
The Glitch Fragment appears as a dark purple cube-esque shape with a glowing pink light, surrounded by an aura of random colored squares and dots.
Usage
Upon use, blacks out the players screen and shows glitchy imagery and dialogue for a few frames joined by glitchy noises. After the glitching subsides, summons one of three "Glitched" entities to attack the player:
- Several Corrupted Screeches appear around the player randomly.
- RNIUSHCg== speeds through the room, acting just like Rush.
- AROxMBUSH speeds through the room and rebounds a certain amount of times, acting just like Ambush.
Surviving an encounter will give the player the "Trial and Error" Achievement.
Notes
- The Glitch Fragment is not able to be picked up, instead disappearing upon interaction.
- The Glitch Fragment can spawn in any drawer or container in the floor.
- It is recommended for players to locate nearby potential hiding spots before usage, as all entities summoned can be countered using one.
- Take advantage of subfloors such as The Rooms and The Backdoor, as they lack Hide, allowing you to hide throughout the entire encounter.
- It is recommended for players to locate nearby potential hiding spots before usage, as all entities summoned can be countered using one.
- If you die during the encounter, there is a small window of time to revive before the entity despawns, allowing you to still get the badge despite dying.

Pros and Cons
Pros
- Allows you to get the "Trial and Error" achievement, normally hidden from the achievements menu.
Cons
- Summons entities which could hinder the player's progress.
- It is very easy to misclick and accidentally pick up the item while looting, leading to a premature entity spawn.
- It may be difficult to communicate during multiplayer after picking it up, as it spawns enemies only for the person who picked it up.
- This may cause issues such as your teammates running through rooms while you are stuck dealing with glitched entities.
- The item provides no additional advantages besides completion, making it the only item currently in the game to have no true upside during normal gameplay.
Trivia
- The Glitch Fragment is likely the rarest item in the game, being the lowest chance to spawn out of any item.
- The Glitch Fragment bears a resemblance to Glitch, likely being related to one another.
- You cannot use a Crucifix on the summoned Glitch Entities, making these some of the only uncrucifiable entities currently in the game.
- Glitch entities are clientside rather than serverside, meaning only the person who picked up the Glitch Fragment can see them.
