RENDER POLICY

The Render policy is a guideline for files of item/entity renders uploaded to the DOORS Wiki, which are defined as alternative, fan-made 3D art that still accurately represent the entity/item in display. This page describes the guidelines that should be followed at all times, meant to take care of needless disputes between users wishing to upload their own render.

The Render policy was last revised on 10 March 2025. It is subject to change at anytime.

General guidelines

This policy will immediately appoint well-standing users who have provided quality renders as contributors upon effect.

  • Renders are only to be created and published on the DOORS Wiki by Contributors and Major Contributors (excluding translators)– specially appointed users who have significantly contributed to the wiki content-wise.
    • Each contributor is listed in the Wiki Contributors project page. Please refer to that page if you wish to get contributor status as well.
  • Contributors who editwar with others over renders may have their contributor status revoked indefinitely, primarily the contributor who is replacing others' render(s).
  • There should be a limited amount of renders on one article to avoid an abundance of renders, potentially overshadowing officially made renders by developers. While there is no specific limit, please keep this in mind for the future.
  • If a specific render is being replaced too often, moderators reserve the right to lock that file indefinitely with any offenders punished accordingly to the already established Wiki Rules.
  • Renders are not to be made, used, or uploaded with/on/about the following instances:
    • 2D entities/items,
    • fan-made entities/items,
    • developers, staff, or any other ROBLOX avatars,
    • using generative AI tools and websites

Dealing with unauthorized renders

Any render that's uploaded to the wiki should have its author checked for their contributor status, which is easily identifiable via their highlighted name in yellow (if the Staff Colors gadget is turned on). If the uploader is found to not be a contributor, the file should be marked for deletion as soon as possible with the appropriate moderators notified. If you believe your image was wrongfully deleted, please consult a member of staff and they will review the deletion.
