A tutorial on this fragment: |
Upon use, applies an effect similar to [[Glitch]]'s shader to the player's sight for a few frames. After the glitching subsides, summons one of three "Glitched" entities to attack the player: |
⚫ | |||
*[[RNIUSHCg==]] speeds through the room, acting just like [[Rush]]. |
*[[AROxMBUSH]] speeds through the room and rebounds a certain amount of times, acting just like [[Ambush]]. |
⚫ | |||
=== Notes === |
1. Start a run on [[The Hotel]], [[The Mines]], [[The Backdoor]], or get to the rooms. |
* The Glitch Fragment is not able to be picked up, instead disappearing upon interaction. |
2. Loot every room until you find a cube with glitches. |
* The Glitch Fragment can spawn in any drawer or container in the floor. |
** It is recommended for players to locate nearby potential hiding spots before usage, as all entities summoned can be countered using one. |
*** Take advantage of subfloors such as [[The Rooms]] and [[The Backdoor]], as they lack [[Hide]], allowing you to hide throughout the entire encounter. |
* If you die during the encounter, there is a small window of time to revive before the entity despawns, allowing you to still get the badge despite dying. |

3. Interact (Press 'E') with this cube. |
=== Pros === |
4. You will see your game glitching for about 10 frames. |
* Allows you to get the "Trial and Error" achievement, normally hidden from the achievements menu. |
5. SURVIVE the glitched entity that spawns. |
=== Cons === |
6. Depending on what entity you encounter and where you encounter it you can defeat it in many ways keep in mind that the rooms and the backdoor have no hide so in those hide in a closet until you obtain the badge |
* Summons entities which could hinder the player's progress. |
6.3. if you get the screeches you should hide in a closet for around 10 seconds as screechs despawn when hiding. You can also go on a ladder or initiate a cutscane |
* It is very easy to misclick and accidentally pick up the item while looting, leading to a premature entity spawn. |
* It may be difficult to communicate during multiplayer after picking it up, as it spawns enemies very quickly after pickup. |
** This can be especially prominent if you spawn Corrupted Screech, as some players may not turn around until it is too late. |
* The item provides no additional advantages besides completion, making it the only item currently in the game to have no true upside during normal gameplay. |

6.6. if you get rush just hide as fast as you can in the nearest closet and wait for it to pass but dont leave too early |
* The Glitch Fragment is likely the rarest item in the game, being the lowest chance to spawn out of any item. |
6.9. if you get ambush you can treat it as a same speed rush that rebounds. When it spawns if its ambush it will cause a earthquake like rush does |
* The Glitch Fragment bears a resemblance to [[Glitch]], likely being related to one another. |
* You cannot use a [[Crucifix]] on the summoned Glitch Entities, making these some of the only uncrucifiable entities currently in the game. |
7. If you die you can revive before the badge is given out as the badge is given only if you survive. The badge is also only given out when the entity despawns |
