* Very long range.
* Can stun [[Giggle|Giggles]].
* Does not attract [[Gloombats]].
*Very long-lasting battery charge.
*One battery restores full charge.
*Doesn't create a spark, i.e. this item can be used in rooms with a [[Firedamp]] leak.
*Could be used to communicate with other players without using chat, i.e. you can show them items or where to go to.
*Does not malfunction while the player is wet or underwater.
*Can stun/disorientate [[Grumble|Grumbles]] and the [[Queen Grumble]] if you point it directly at their eyes, or teeth, although this is likely unintentional.

===Cons ===

*Weak and low small light.
*Only illuminates where the laser lands.
*Relatively rare and only obtainable in [[The Mines]].
*Attracts [[Figure]] to the player when being used.
*Does not attract [[Gloombats]] to a specific spot.
*Not available on any shop.
