'''Ladders''' are a common [[Features|feature]] inside [[The Mines]].  Many rooms in The Mines have multiple floors, and ''ladders'' are used to go between these floors. The player can start climbing a ''Ladder'' by pressing {{Key|E}} on keyboard, and ascend or descend by holding their forwards and backwards movement keys.

* If on the [[Players|player]], [[Screech]] will despawn with a fading-out animation when the player attempts to climb a ''ladder''.
* Although wooden ''ladders'' exist in the Hotel (such as in [[The Library]]) they cannot be interacted with and only serve as decoration.
* [[Dread]] can spawn while you are on a ''ladder'' as a substitute of [[Screech]] to discourage players from being AFK.
* [[Eyes]] cannot attack a player while using a ''ladder''.
