The ''Holy Hand Grenade'' is an item that was introduced in the ''2023 April Fools Event'' and exists as an alternative to the [[Crucifix]]. The ''Holy Hand Grenade'' was later re-introduced in the [[Update Logs|Content Update]] only present in runs with the Admin Panel.

Its original version is now only accessible through the "SUPER HARD MODE!!!" [[Modifiers|Modifier]].

== {{Icons|Usage}} Usage ==
Once the ''Holy Hand Grenade'' is thrown, it will bounce onto the ground and emit angelic singing. After 5 seconds, it will explode, emitting a flash of white light. Any entities in the range of the grenade will be damaged or killed by it and play the Roblox death sound upon their passing. Players will also take 95 [[damage]] if they are too close.

* The item is ultimately a reference to the [[w:c:montypython:Holy_Hand_Grenade_of_Antioch|Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch]] from the movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
** However, the iteration of it seen in ''DOORS'' is similar to the item's appearance in the [[w:c:worms:Holy_Hand_Grenade|Worms]] video game series, with its "Hallelujah" sound effect, as well as, by technicality, older versions of mobile/console Terraria which have this item as a reference to Worms.

* The base version only Despawns/Kills [[Rush]], [[Ambush]], [[Eyes]], [[Screech]] and Jeff The Killer if they are in the range of the explosion.

* If the player automatically equips<ref>Getting an item through any way without having another item equipped automatically equips the item.</ref> a ''Holy Hand Grenade'', trying to drop it will not work, although it will still substract 1 from the amount ''Holy Hand Grenades'' in the stack, and will not disappear even if the player has 0 or less ''Holy Hand Grenades'' in this state.
** This bug can be visually identified as the player will not have any animation in their arm for holding it. Without the bug, the player keeps their arm horizontal while holding the ''Holy Hand Grenade.''
** Manually equipping the item will make it work correctly.
** This bug isn't present in SUPER HARD MODE's ''Holy Hand Grenade''.

* Use against Jeff The Killer if spawned.
* Use against [[Eyes]], [[Screech]], [[Rush]] or [[Ambush]] if many players are in danger of not finding a hiding spot, and especially yourself.
