The mouse entity in The Mines is an entity available after the content update that trades an item for another item dropped by his hole. It is most likely it will be cheese or bread, which both heal 50 health points. But if you give it a crucifix, a blue light will glow, crucifying the mouse from the inside, although the animation is not seen, and the mouse gives out many items.
