It is most likely to be found in the second opened vine chest. It can also be found in toolboxes and lockers.

Usage

When active, the laser pointer emits a red and thin beam of light at the player's crosshair.

Pros and Cons

Pros

• Very long range.
• Can stun Giggles.
• Does not attract Gloombats.
• Very long-lasting battery charge.
• One battery restores full charge.
• Doesn't create a spark, i.e. this item can be used in rooms with a Firedamp leak.
• Could be used to communicate with other players without using chat, i.e. you can show them items or where to go to.
• Does not malfunction while the player is wet or underwater.
• Can stun/disorientate Grumbles and the Queen Grumble if you point it directly at their eyes, or teeth, although this is likely unintentional.

Cons

• Weak and low small light.
• Only illuminates where the laser lands.
• Relatively rare and only obtainable in The Mines.
• Attracts Figure to the player when being used.
• Does not attract Gloombats to a specific spot.
• Not available on any shop.

Trivia

• The Decal Image of the Laser Pointer, is originally named "Flute".
• This item can be always found in the second vine covered chest that is opened, unless the player has obtained it before opening the chest.
  • This goes the same for Bulklight.
• On September 1st, 2024, the Laser Pointer was buffed, increasing its illumination range.
• The laser pointer can be encountered as early as door 105, out in the open with an unknown possibility of spawning earlier.
• Laser Pointer has currently the longest fuel time of the game, being 3 minutes 20 seconds.
