OverviewOverview

Circuit Breaker Switches, or simply known as Breaker Switches, are silver boxes with a switch and a light on the front. They are found inside The Electrical Room and are used to complete The Circuit Breaker Puzzle and power the elevator. Breaker Switches are found in areas such as the labyrinth hallways, storage rooms, and near the mining elevator. Being a essential item, these switches will be highlighted by the Guiding Light after a short period of time, making them easier to find. (This does not apply if you have the “gone fishing” and “soundproofing” Modifiers active)

The Breaker Switches will spawn randomly around the area in different sections of the room, often on the ground or shelves. The player will have to collect all 10 Breaker switches, find the key to unlock the door to the breaker room (although they don’t have to if they have a Lockpick) and to place them all in. Once done the player will be able to solve the Circuit Breaker Puzzle.

Usage Usage

Pressing "E" E (on PC), or "X"  (on Xbox), or the interact button (on mobile) will make the breaker switch disappear (along with the gilding light’s illumination) and display an icon showing that you have collected the breaker switch

Trivia Strategies

  • Some Breaker Switches may spawn in the Rift room and/or the upstairs area where the elevator and the Electrical Room Key is located. So it's recommended to lock the breaker room first so when the chase starts you will have a chance to enter the breaker room and wait for Figure to leave and enter the following rooms:_
  • The timer for Guiding Light to highlight the Breaker Switches begins when the player opens door 100 but figure doesn’t have been already been spawned in. This means that players can wait until the switches have been illuminated and not have to have to spend ages going back and fourth to find them all or wait for guiding light to start whilst risking being eaten by figure.

TriviaNotes

  • Breaker switches emit a faint "shiny" sound, similar to the sound room keys make. So long as players have their volume turned up, this quality makes it far easier to identify any switches near them.
  • Ten breaker switches can be found. Unlike library books, all of them will be needed
  • Getting a breaker switch does not make noise, and will not attract Figure.
  • Unlike in the library, getting a breaker switch will not increase figure’s speed. (His speed will alway remain as if the players has found 2 books in the library)
  • After players have been in Electrical room for roughly a minute, Guiding Light will intensify the light and particles around the switches, which makes them easier to find.
  • Breaker Switches can spawn in the Rift room.
    • However, the odds of this is very low.
