Guiding Light

The Guiding Light is a helping hand of sorts to players by giving a blue-like magical light to certain objects and areas.

Overview Overview

After being in a Dark Room for around ? seconds, the Guiding Light will highlight the door to the next room while also lighting up the surrounding area.

  • If there is a Room Key in this room, it is also highlighted.

While in both chase sequences with Seek, the Guiding Light will highlight the areas in which you need to crouch and the doors you need to enter to progress.

Upon the player's death, they will be greeted with a message. This message will vary depending on how the player died, giving tips about how to avoid certain entities.

  • When dying to the same entity multiple times, the message will change to give more tips and encourage the player.
