Short entity headcanons

Seek and Figure despise each-other.

Glitch knows something the others don't.

Timothy isn't even an actual entity, just multiple different spiders in the hotel all named Timothy.

After a chase, Ambush will get really dizzy, even though they don't have an actual brain.

Void is not an entity. It is void, it is darkness, it is nothingness. Yes, it has a consciousness, but it is not alive. It is simply rooms despawning.

Figure is actually quite intelligent, but their memory is awful. They will sometimes forget something that happened just seconds ago.

Screech has a full body.

The entities (most of them, that is) do not know what they are, where they are, and what happened in the hotel. The only ones that truly know their surroundings are Figure, Glitch, and El Goblino.

Lore headcanons

As mentioned previously, Gl and Cl are both an amalgamation of spirits who were killed by entities or the void in the hotel. The entities were also, at one point, alive (Besides glitch). Figure was the first to become an entity, and died from an explosion in the electrical room. Figure was the hotel's owner.

When Seek first entered the hotel, Figure was the only entity. When Seek's pre-entity form reached the electrical room, he was unable to outrun Figure and died.

The original hotel was placed in the real world, but collapsed when the circuits exploded. It formed a rift in space, and the hotel was recreated in a different world.

The reason the candle is the only way to open the rift is because it is the only non-electrical light source in the hotel. It is not part of the hotel's recreation, but added directly from the real world. Since it's from the "real world", it can open a rift back to it.

When you escape the hotel, we know the second floor will be a mine/cave area. This is the original hotel's demolition site. At this point, you are in the real world.

Whatever entities are on floor 2 also died in the initial explosion, and were staff members of the hotel.
