''Library Books'' are vibrantly-colored books that contain a shape and number inside of them. ''Library Books'' are usually found surrounded by other, unreadable books. To combat this, they are usually at a slight angle compared to other books, while also emitting a faint glowing sound, and being highlighted by the [[Guiding Light]].

Pressing {{Key|E}} (on PC), {{Xbox|X|size=24px}} (on Xbox), or the [[Controls|interact button]] (on mobile) will pull the ''Library Book'' off the shelf, then show the player reading it. After the animation completes, the ''Library Book'' will be discarded from the player's inventory. Afterwards, the contained hint will be shown on the left of the screen.

* ''Library Books'' emit a faint glowing sound, similar to the sound [[Room Key|room keys]] make. This can make it easier to know for a player if there is a book on an aisle simply by having their volume up.
